Magic Lake Retreat on Pender Island is a recently built split level home with lots of room for the family to play together. It is, in fact, the perfect home away from home.
The large modern kitchen features mellow maple cabinets, several work spaces for communal cooking, virtually every kitchen convenience including microwave, dishwasher, food processor, cappuccino machine, blender, a fridge with water dispenser & icemaker and a large well-stocked pantry with all the basics. Bar stools set along a wide counter make the kitchen a great place for people to mingle.

Or, on a warm summer’s evening, throw open the sliding glass doors to the adjoining patio and enjoy an alfresco meal mere feet from calm, tranquil Magic Lake. Imagine salmon steaks sizzling on the bbq, and a glass of wine while watching the sun set.
The living room with overstuffed soft leather furniture facing the stone-faced propane fireplace is on the main floor, lakeside. For your watching and listening pleasure, there is satellite TV, VCR, DVD and stereo. The house is also well-stocked with games, books and puzzles for those wanting quiet, family entertainment.

An inveterate art collector, the owner has decorated this lovely home with a large and eclectic collection of art from funky folk art to magnificent first nation’s sculpture.

With its three bedrooms, and two full baths, Magic Lake Retreat can accommodate up to seven people. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and the luxury of an adjacent bathroom/laundry room. Upstairs are two more bedrooms and another bath. The roomy master bedroom features a beautiful queen-sized brass bed, the second bedroom a twin-double bed combination that can be mounted side by side or bunk bed fashion.

Of course, you won’t want to spend all your time indoors and the owners have ensured that there will be lots of outdoor water activities for the family to enjoy as well. You can jump off the dock for a swim, or perhaps launch the rowboat and paddle down to “the swimming hole” at the other end of the lake. Or try your hand at paddling in one of the two kayaks.
No matter the season, you and your family will enjoy the creature comforts offered at this beautiful lakeside home.
